It's difficult because, unlike someone who drives their Fiero every day and knows exactly how it handles. but even still, you can go into the turn to fast and really have to fight it. it holds much easier than it feels like it does. You really have to trust the car because the G forces in the turns are far more than your ever willing to give the benefit of the doubt on a car. it is pretty tough, it's defintiely not easy. This is the kind of activity you could do every time you come to Vegas.Shame. My guess is you pull an easy 3Gs in the corners. You have a radio spotter that walks you around the track. I have driven much faster on other tracks, and you would need more track time to go any faster. The cars are limited to about 150 MPH until you spend a grand, then they take the limiter off.
The driving track is a one and a half mile high bank triangle. It is an incredible area, while there they had the BMW motorcycle driving course, the Richard Petty driving course, the Carroll Shelby museum, the drive an exotic sports car package, a car show, a drag strip, a road course, etc.
You should have a car to get to the speedway. It takes 3 hours 1 for orientation, 1 to actually drive, and 1 for BS.
This is the perfect gift for a bachelor party, 50th birthday, etc. We did the eight minute session and it was enough. But once in, all you can see is straight ahead and your hands. They have cars set up for different size drivers. Once in, with a helmet and fire suit you are really tight. These are IROC cars and are very tight to get into. If you are claustrophobic you may have problems. Our wives decided to go to take pictures and did the buddy ride in the two seater at about 170MPH. My buddy got this for Christmas so I joined him and drove also.
